Colour Love!

The last couple of weeks have been about colour for me. I’ve started painting the Indian roller, and love the colours.

Those intense blues are very seductive and go so well with the gentle greys and pinks. The leaves scattered about the page are eucalyptus leaves gathered in Nuwara Eliya. I’ve been reading India Flint’s book Eco Colour, and see that some eucalyptus leaves give fantastic colour on cloth, so thought I’d do a little experimenting. You can see India’s gorgeous blog and more about her book here.

Meanwhile on the surface pattern design side I’ve been playing with different colour palettes.
